When I first started messing around in photography, Christy contacted me to photograph her and her sisters for her mom's Christmas present. Lucky Michael, he got to come along! (He really loves getting his pictures taken) A few months later Christy asked if I would be interested in taking her on as and intern and of course, I said, HELL YES! When her internship finished, I was sad. Months passed and she messaged me about how she missed working with me. One day I was like, ya know what?! You need to come and work for me again and POOF! She's back in my life!!
Michael is a lot like my husband, Jeff and that makes me smile. It also made me psychic. I asked Christy what month she thought she would like to get married. She said May or June. It just so happened Michael would be going with her and her family on a trip in June that year. I told her, ya know, he's going to propose then. NO she said. Michael is JUST like Jeff and I just knew he would give her a whole year to plan her dream wedding. Sure enough, Christy came home with a ring and a beautiful story about Michael's surprise proposal.
I can't belive a year has passed and your wedding is here!
If ever two people were meant for each other, it is Christy and Michael. They are both funny and smart, silly and compassionate. Taking your wedding photos is a great honor!! I love you both!! ENJOY!
Kermit made a guest appearance in Michael's video message to Christy! Laughed our BUTTS off!!
Being the baby of the family with three older sisters is tough, but Michael ALWAYS looked nice!
SOMEONE failed to mention that she was giving Michael and adventure book!! OMG!! I can not make it through the first ten minutes movie 'UP' without crying. EVER!! A little heads up would have been nice Chrissy Gurl!
I went to Michael and Christy's shower and while I was their they opened a gift of blankets. There was a back story that is too sweet not to share. When Michael was a little boy his mom gave him some money to spend at St. Dominic's auction. He came home with 'blankets' (fabric scraps) and 'movies' (blank VHS tapes). His mom pieced the pieces of fabric together and made him a blanket which was named the 'Superman Blanket'. Superman Blanket went with Michael everywhere. To welcome Christy to the family, she made her a 'Superman Blanket' of her own. As I am listening to the story, my first thought was, Why the heck didn't they bring the Superman Blanket with them during the engagement session and my second thought was to send a text to Christy telling her that blanket was coming along to the wedding!
Mother/son dances kill me and I always cry. I almost cried when Mom helped him with his tie in the morning. (I have three boys and it KILLS me to know someday they will grow up.) Michael would never let his mom listen to 'You Look Wonderful Tonight' and his gift to her was to dance with her to that song. *tears*
Now these two... It all starts like any other father/daughter dance...
Then they busted out all the dance moves!!! SO JEALOUS of the videographer!!
Kim & Christy, You are gonna have to teach Courtney and I how to do this dance!! HOW FUN!! (Shut up Courtney, it will be fun!)
CONGRATULATIONS AGAIN CHRISTY AND MICHAEL DIETERS!!! Here's to filling up that adventure book with a million happy memories!! LOVE YOU! XOXOX
